The Texas Wesleyan Rams are preparing for an upcoming football game against the Southwestern University Pirates. The new assistant coach, helping to prepare the team, is Lon Goldstein. In addition to helping head coach Gus Miller, Goldstein's responsibilities include scouting future Ram football and basketball opponents. He will also coach the Freshman cage team. Goldstein is a former Ram basketball and football star. He is returning to coach after playing summer baseball in Columbia, South Carolina, where he led the league in doubles.
