Description
The Hardin-Simmons Cowboys are preparing for the 1941 football season. They are looking to continue the success of the unbeaten 1940 season. Discussing plays off the "T" formation, left to right are Coach Warren Woodson and Dr. W. R. White. Coach Woodson is in his first season as head coach of the Cowboys. He is dressed in a single-breasted suit with a checkered tie and wearing a wristwatch, a Kiwanis pin, and a tie pin and is holding a mechanical pencil. Dr. White is the university president and keenly interested in the football team. He is wearing a single-breasted suit, a broadly-woven diagonal-striped tie, a tie chain with an ornament, and rimless eyeglasses. There are books in bookshelves behind Woodson and on the desk is a pen holder and various carved or cast figures (including a bear and a cowboy hat) and a bakelite rotary dial telephone. Published Star-Telegram Morn. Sep. 14, 1941.
