    Description

The new Sagamore Hill Elementary School is opening their doors to begin the fall term. The old building was condemned and the new red brick school house took two years to complete. In the meantime, students attended school in the adjoining district. School Secretary Mrs. Frank Bass is handing out baseball equipment to two sixth grade students - Jimmie Youngblood, left, and Armead Allen. The boys are excited to break in the new baseball bats and balls. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition September 12, 1941.
