Mr. and Mrs. Cecil A. Singleton are kissing good-bye on their front porch as he heads off to work. It is the first time in twenty-nine years that Mrs. Singleton has missed a school opening. She spent twelve years as a teacher and one as a principal. Mr. Singleton is heading off to one of the schools where he serves as principal - George Clarke Elementary School and B. H. Carroll Elementary School. He is taking over the role his wife filled last year. Mrs. Singleton is wearing a floral dress and an apron. She is holding a cup and a dish rag. Mr. Singleton is dressed in a suit. He is carrying his hat and briefcase. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition September 10, 1941.
