Among those attending the Exchange Club's first dinner-dance in honor of the club members' children were, left to right, Rufus Garrett Junior, Miss Nellie Thomas, Mrs. A. F. Townsend, and Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Garrett Senior. The men are dressed in dark suits and patterned ties and Mr. Garrett Senior is wearing eyeglasses. Miss Thomas is wearing a long-sleeve, dark dress with a flower adorned on her shoulder, while Mrs. Townsend and Mrs. Garrett Senior are wearing short-sleeve, light-colored dresses. Mrs. Townsend and Mrs. Garrett Senior are also carrying handbags and Mrs. Townsend is wearing a dark hat. Rufus Garrett Junior and Miss Thomas were co-chairmen of the entertainment program for the event. Miss Thomas is the daughter of the president of the Exchange Club. Mrs. Townsend is the wife of the originator of the dinner-dance. The event was held at the Lake Worth Casino.
