Description
Typical steers in the feedlot of Walter Jones near Reading, Kansas. The steer on the left was from the McClellan Ranch near Lubbock, Texas, and the one at right is from the ranch of George Cleveland. Cleveland lives at Lubbock, Texas, but does his ranching near Plains, Texas. A third steer is standing in the background. The cattle are in a grassy field. At the far right, in the foreground, is an automobile (partially obscured). The steers are branded with a "T" symbol.
