Description

A pool of oil was recently discovered in Mitchell County, near Colorado City, Texas. The land where the discovery is being drilled is owned by E. T. Strain. One of the drilling companies in the county is the C. L. Echols Company. Shown working on the Number 2-A C. C. Crawford, left to right, are J. L. Joner and Bert Brown. Both work on the crew as casing men. Mr. Joner is dressed in a straw hat, button-u shirt, and trousers. He is smoking a cigarette. Mr. Brown is wearing a hat, short-sleeve shirt, trousers, and gloves.
