Mrs. Emma Janes is enjoying a busy Valentines Day and birthday. On her eighty-sixth birthday, Mrs. Janes is taking her first airplane ride. She excitedly waits as Lois Murrell, an American Airlines stewardess, is checking her in. Mrs. Janes will ride from Dallas and back. She is wearing a dress, sweater, corsage and a scarf over her head. Miss Murrell is wearing a blouse, blazer, and skirt. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 15, 1940.
