Description
Sid Adams is a conductor on the Southern Pacific Rail Road. After 33 years, Mr. Adams is saying goodbye to the Motor-Car Line that gave him his start on a railroading career. The Southern Pacific is discontinuing the line, which has run from Fort Worth, Texas, to Ennis, Texas, since 1885. At the time, it was the only line connecting Fort Worth to the southern part of the state. Mr. Adams, 52, will be transferred to the Sunbeam. The new route runs from Fort Worth to Houston, Texas. Mr. Adams is shown looking at a piece of paper. He is dressed in a straw hat and a dark suit.
