    Description

    The first Cotton Stamps are being issued in Tarrant County, Texas, at the Agricultural Adjustment Administration (AAA) office of the Courthouse. Joe l. Nix, left, is receiving the maximum 25 dollars worth of stamps from D. O. Harvey. Mr. Nix is an Arlington, Texas, farm operator. He can use the stamps to buy all-cotton articles. They are given to the farmer as a bonus for reducing his cotton acreage. Mr. Nix is dressed in a hat and a button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves. Mr. Harvey is the administrative assistant of the AAA. He is wearing a striped shirt, necktie, and trousers.
