    Description

    The Grand Voiture Texas "40 & 8" society of the American Legion authorized the purchase of $800 worth of defense bonds. Shown inspecting the bonds are, left to right, Bolton Hyde, McAllen, Texas, new grand chef de gare (president) of the organization; Fred Army, Dallas, Texas, immediate past grand chef de gare; Fred Rousseaux, Houston, Texas, trustee; and Emmett Goode, Laredo, Texas, finance officer. Mr. Army and Mr. Goode are sitting at a desk and Mr. Hyde and Mr. Rousseaux are standing. Mr. Hyde is wearing a uniform, Mr. Army and Mr. Goode are wearing suits, and Mr. Rousseaux is wearing a shirt, necktie and trousers. On the desk are various sheets of paper and a pen stand.
