Charley Renaud Junior is delivering newspapers to the Arlington Heights neighborhood of Fort Worth, Texas. He is attempting to finish his route in a hurry, so afterwards he can go swimming at Eagle Mountain Lake. Charley is dressed in a t-shirt and trousers. He is carrying a bag strung over his shoulder. The heavy cotton bag is double stitched and riveted and has a contrasting color pocket on the front. The young man is wearing a wrist watch with a metal band. The porch of the house has an elaborate arched door, framed on each side with leaded glass sidelights. The screen door has a simple dark doorknob and a reinforced curly metal frame protecting the screen. The young man's pants have a bottom cuff and he is wearing ribbed socks and cloth shoes with a simple tie that runs around the top of each shoe. The newspaper is the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
