Description

Holding some of the aluminum pieces they collected from Everman, Texas, residents are seven Boy Scouts from Troop 120. They are sitting in and around the Model T car that brought them to the Fort Worth, Texas, collection center at Peter Smith Park. The aluminum donations will be used for the national defense program. Behind them is a pile of the aluminum collected so far. At the far left, front, is Cecil Corn, 11. Others, left to right, are Roy Thomas, 12 (directly behind Corn); Weldon Pittman, 13; Earl Ray Smithey, 10; Robert Lee Wylie, 12; Edwin Smithey, 13; and Billy Owen, 13. Cecil is wearing a striped, collared shirt and trousers. Roy is wearing a shirt, trousers and a belt. Weldon is wearing a shirt, trousers and a hat. Earl is wearing a shirt with the sleeves cuffed, trousers and a hat. Robert is wearing a button-up shirt, trousers, a hat and a bandanna around his neck. Edwin is wearing a button-up shirt with the sleeves cuffed, trousers, a light-colored belt and a cowboy hat. Billy is wearing a t-shirt, hat, trousers and knee-high socks pulled over the trousers.
