    Description

The Thirty-sixth Division, all-Texas unit, made its final appearance in review Saturday at Camp Bowie before departure early next month for extensive maneuvers in Louisiana and East Texas. It started its occupation of the Brownwood camp last December and began its current training program January 13th. For a brief period, all of the division's generals were grouped on the reviewing stand with Major General George V. Strong, commander of the VIII Army Corps, who "took" the review. Left to right are Brigadier General Preston A. Wetherred, 72nd Infantry Brigade; Brigadier General Robert O. Whiteaker, 61st Field Artillery Brigade who was commanding officer of troops for the event; Brigadier General Eugene A. Eversberg, 71st Infantry Brigade; General Strong; and Major General Claude V. Birkhead, commander of the 36th.
