Description

The first troops bound for Summer War Games in Louisiana are rolling through Fort Worth, Texas. The 45th Infantry Division is traveling from Camp Barkeley in Abilene, Texas to compete. The 120th Engineers are being sent ten days ahead to clear the way for the 45th. Colonel Uil Lane briefly stopped the convoy at the edge of the city to request an escort from the Fort Worth police department. Colonel Lane is stepping out from the backseat of his car. He is dressed in a button-up shirt and a campaign hat.
