Description
Image of the dam, framed with tree trunk and brush in the foreground, and the Brazos river extending into the background. The dam, an Ambursen-type reinforced concrete has massive buttress with flat-slab deck, a section of nine roof-weir gates, two bulkhead sections, and an earthen dike. It is 2,740 feet long with a maximum height of 189 feet. It has an elevation of 1,024 feet above mean sea level. The spillway consists of nine roof-weir type gates with top of gate elevation of 1,000 feet above mean sea level. (no clipping)
