Description
Fair's Beauties is a popular variety of peaches (shown on the tree) in Parker County. Miss La Frieda Williams, left, 17, is offering a bite of a Parker County peach to her cousin, Miss Tennie Marie Dyer, 17, of Lamesa, Texas. Miss Williams is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Williams, who operate a fruit farm southwest of Weatherford, Texas. A bumper peach crop of 1,000,000 bushels has been estimated for Parker County.
