    Description

The observance of the Fourth of July in Fort Worth, Texas, is a mixture of patriotic affairs and recreation of many forms. Prepping for a round of golf over the holiday weekend, left to right, are C. E. Miller and Roy Yager. They are shown cleaning their golf balls at the nine-hole Sycamore Golf Course. The small course has become one of the city's most popular layouts. It had 191 players over the holiday. Mr. Miller usually scores just over par, between 32 and 38. He is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Mr. Yager frequently breaks par (30). He is wearing a straw hat, and a collared shirt tucked into his trousers.
