Description

F. C. Cooley is awarding American Legion medals to Norma Piper and Richard Lamb, students at Diamond Hill Junior High School. The medal is an annual award, given to a boy and a girl in each junior high school of the city. The medal awardees are the most outstanding in courage, honor, service, leadership and scholarship. Mr. Cooley is judge advocate of Railway Mail Service Post of the American Legion. He is wearing a Legion side cap and a suit. Norma is wearing a dress with a ribbon pattern. Richard is dressed in a collared shirt and a blazer with a windowpane pattern. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, February 9, 1940.
