Mary Beth McDaniel poses for two members of the elementary group of students who attended art classes sponsored by the Fort Worth Art Association in the gallery of the Public Library. The sketchers are Ann Kleinoeder and Katherine Ann McDaniel, little sister to Mary Beth. Mary Beth is standing in front of a group of seated students while they sketch her. Seated and standing behind the students are women, many wearing hats. There are a number of paintings on the walls of the room. This photograph was published in the June 18, 1941 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
