Ann Morris, 12, center, and her sister, Norma Morris, 10, right, are shown as each purchased three $25 United States defense bonds from O. H. Layton, left, of the First National Bank trust department. Ann, pupil at J. P. Elder Junior High, and Norma, a Circle Park elementary student, made the first withdrawal they have ever made from their weekly school savings to pay for the bonds. They are daughters of Mr. and Mrs. O.T. Morris, 2306 Market Avenue. Ann and Mr. Layton are sitting behind a desk, and Norma is standing beside her sister. Ann is wearing a polka-dot dress and Norma is wearing floral print dress. Mr, Layton is wearing a suit. There are sheets of paper on the desk.
