Description
The Golden Gloves district tournament opened at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Squaring off in a battle for the lightweight bracket are left to right Jack Malone and Boyd Sanford. Malone is shown hitting gangling Sanford on the chin with a hard right blow. Sanford is whiffing with a right hook. Despite suffering several big hits, Sanford won the decision.
