Description
A banquet and dance were given at Stamford Saturday night for the 19 flying students who completed the first training period at Arledge-Stamford Field and will enter the basic air corps training school at Randolph Field for the second of the three stages leading to pilot ratings and commissions at second lieutenants. Cadet William Prehn of St. Louis, Missouri, pins a pair of wings on Miss Louise Phillips of Abilene, Texas. Miss Louise Phillips has sunglasses on her front breast pocket of her shirt. Both are sitting at the dining table. There are dinner plates with leftovers, spoons and tumblers on the table.
