Description
Thirty-five women from Fort Worth, Texas, left for Camp Bowie at Brownwood, Texas, to attend a soldier dance. Getting on the bus at the Bowen Bus Center, ready to depart, are Mrs. Clyde Godbold, center, and Mrs. Loretta Sherburn, right. Mrs. Godbold's husband, left, is bidding them farewell. Mr. Godbold is wearing a suit, hat and eyeglasses. Mrs. Godbold arranged the trip to the camp. She is wearing a dress and hat and across her chest is a sash that reads, "Fort Worth." Mrs. Sherburn is wearing a plaid print dress and a hat and is carrying a handbag. Another group of Fort Worth, Texas, women went to Camp Wolters.
