Description
Young women from Fort Worth, Texas, attended a dance at Camp Bowie. Shown at the dance are, left to right, Private Ed Miller, staff section, Regimental Headquarters of the 142nd Infantry, Miss Violet Rudd, Miss Pauline Risher and Private Lee McClanahan, of Company K, 141st Infantry. The soldiers are wearing their military uniforms. Private Miller, Miss Rudd and Miss Risher are sitting on a counter. Private McClanahan is standing to the side. Miss Rudd is wearing a polka-dot dress with an eyelet pattern on the collar and edge of the sleeves, and across her chest is a sash that reads, "Fort Worth." She has a charm bracelet on her right wrist and a watch on her left wrist. She is holding Private Miller's hand. Miss Risher is wearing a floral print dress and has a watch on her left wrist. She is holding Private McClanahan's hand.
