Description
Experts of the Agricultural and Mechanical College of Texas (A&M) College Extension Service and of the United States Department of Agriculture have long carried on studies of diet as it affects the health of livestock. These three men are prominent in the investigation of vitamin deficiencies and mineral fortification of feeding rations. Left to right, they are J. M. Jones, beef cattle specialist, College Station, Texas; W. H. Black, Bureau of Animal Husbandry, Washington, D. C., a specialist in beef and dual purpose cattle; and Fred E. Keeting, superintendent of the United States Dry Land Experiment Station at Big Spring, Texas. The three men are wearing dark-colored neckties, hats, and dress slacks. They all have pens in their shirt pockets. Mr. Jones has things in both shirt pockets, is wearing eyeglasses and is holding a lit cigar. Mr. Black has an eyeglasses case in his shirt pocket and his necktie has a diagonal design. He's holding a briefcase or satchel. Mr. Keeting's shirt has light vertical stripes. He is wearing eyeglasses.
