Description
The Trap Shooters State Championship is being held in Houston, Texas. Competing for a title, left to right, are Olin J. Bates Junior and his father, Olin J. Bates Senior. The father and son team are representing Fort Worth, Texas. Mr. Bates is a former champion in the senior event. He lost this year to Tom Loffland, also of Fort Worth. At 14 years old, Olin Jr. is competing in the junior division. In his first tournament, he broke 97 of 100 targets to capture the crown. Olin Jr. is dressed in a hat, button-up shirt, and trousers. Mr. Bates is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, hunting vest, and trousers. They are posing with their shotguns.
