    Description

    Amateur boxers from around the area are competing in the Golden Gloves district tournament at the Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas. Squaring off for the lightweight title left to right are Harry Flowers and Jack Griffin. Flowers was the favorite going in to the Saturday night fight, but Griffin is gave him plenty of trouble in the hard fought battle. Flowers is shown standing over Griffin, who has his knees on the mat. The knockdown helped Flowers earn the winning decision.
