Description

The Golden Gloves state tournament will be held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum. Leonard Durrett won the middle weight division in the district tournament in Fort Worth, Texas. The ambidextrous boxer confused his opponent, Alvin Young, by fighting south-paw in the first round and switching to his right in the second. Durrett is a student at a North Texas Agricultural College. He plays End for the Arlington school's football team. He is pictured in his school uniform
