Description

Three Santa Fe Railway executives, who spent Monday in Fort Worth, Texas, as their last Texas stop on an inspection tour of the road, were recipients of Shady Oak hats at the conclusion of the day's activities. Left to right, they are R. B. Ball, Galveston, Texas, vice president and general manager of the Gulf, Colorado and Santa Fe Railway, W. K. Etter, of Chicago, Illinois, vice president and general manager of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe (A. T. & S. F.), and E. J. Engel, also of Chicago, president of the A. T. & S. F. They are standing in a room with a window behind them with Venetian blinds closed and sheer and regular drapes pulled to the sides. A table with a lace cloth is in the right background and a framed piece of art is on the far left wall. Mr. Ball is wearing a dark-colored double-breasted suit with a light-colored shirt and a dark necktie. Mr. Etter is wearing a gray-tone single-breasted suit, a light shirt, and a dark necktie with light polka dots. He is also wearing eyeglasses and a leather belt and is holding a cigar. Mr. Engel is wearing a dark single-breasted suit, a light shirt, a geometrically patterned necktie, a leather belt and eyeglasses. All three men are wearing Shady Oak banker's beaver felt hats.
