Parade of farmers and business men in Decatur Texas. The parade included H. Ca. MCurdy (third from right) originator of the parade plus drum majorettes from Decatur High School (left to right,) Elizabeth Renshaw, Iris McDaniel, Margaret Usry, H. Cal McCurdy, Martha Belle Renshaw, and Mascot Constance Van Meter. The you women are wearing their majorette uniforms. Mr. McCurdy is wearing short pants with black socks and shoes, short with bow tie and a hat. A cigar is in his mouth. An oil tank feature prominently in the background. This photograph was published in the May 4, 1941 morning edition of the Star-Telegram.
