Description
A $25 bond was sold to J. B. Stewart, left, an employee of the City Packing Company, by Stuart Lydick, cashier of the Union Bank and Trust Company. Mr, Stewart is typical of the thousands of persons who invested in defense savings bonds as the drive opened on a national scale. Both men are sitting at a desk. Mr. Stewart is wearing a collared shirt and a hat and Mr. Lydick is wearing a suit. There are bookcases against the wall behind them. There are files and other office supplies on the desk in front of them.
