Description

Carl Arnold, of Buckeye, Arizona, challenged the reigning world champion cowboy steer roper, Bob Crosby, at the Carlsbad Rodeo steer roping contest in New Mexico. Mr. Arnold is shown in the arena, on his horse, after the steer has been thrown and is lying on the ground. There are spectators in the background, standing next to automobiles.
