Description
Miss Nellie Rogers, sitting on a desk and wearing a striped dress. She is a resident of a hotel at 1406 1/2 Main Street and a witness to the death of Farris J. (Pat) Kemp, 36. Mr. Kemp was shot to death by his mother, Mrs. Sadie Stewart, 60, after an altercation in the hall of the Main Street hotel, which Mrs. Stewart operates. Miss Rogers told police that Mr. Kemp had threatened to kill her and Mrs. Stewart, and that he had kicked in the door of Miss Rogers's room, beaten her, and cursed his mother while making as if strike her with a crutch.
