P. C. Taylor, of Texas Christian University (T. C. U.), right, crossing the finish line and winning the mile run at a triangular track meet between T. C. U., Southern Methodist University (S. M. U.), and Baylor University. Fletcher Gibson, of S. M. U., left, is running close behind Taylor. Both men are wearing shorts and tank tops; Taylor's shirt has his school's logo and Gibson's shirt has, "S. M. U." across the chest. Next to the track, at right, a small group of people are looking on at the race. One man in particular is holding up the finish line tape. Taylor is T. C. U.'s track team captain.
