Mayor McCrary of Fort Worth, Texas, was among this group of mayors who boarded an American Airlines plane in New York for a flight to Ottawa, Canada, for a series of joint sessions with the Canadian Conference of Mayors on civil defense. Standing in the front row, left to right, are William H. Dress, Evansville, Indiana; Ben E. Douglas, Charlotte, North Carolina; Daniel W. Hoan, a member of the Council of National Defense, Washington, D. C.; I. N. McCrary, Fort Worth, Texas; Damase Caron, Manchester, New Hampshire; and O. M. Mosier, American Airlines Executive. In the back row are Stewardess Elvira Laine, Joseph D. Scholtz, Louisville, Kentucky; John J. McDonough, Saint Paul, Minnesota; John J. Burns, Burlington, Vermont; John B.
