Description
Emmett Maxon, of Vernon, Texas, rapping down a set of starting blocks before he attends the regional high school track meet in Denton, Texas. Maxon is knelt down in the middle of a street, holding a hammer in his left hand. He appears to be adjusting one of the wooden blocks and preparing to hammer a large nail through it. The second block seems to be already nailed down completely. Maxon is wearing a track suit that has the numbers "26" and "27" on the jacket and pants, respectively. Behind him, at left, a row of houses can be seen, as well as some trees and bushes.
