Left to right are Mrs. M. A. Elliott, 1616 Carleton Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, election judge, Mrs. P. L. Forbes, 4613 Washburn Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas, and Mrs. P. F. Middleton, 4700 Birchman Avenue, Fort Worth, Texas. All three women are sitting at a table, sewing. On the table are ink bottles, pens, pencils, sheets of paper and sewing equipment. Mrs. Elliott is crocheting while the other two darn socks. There is a closed door behind them. All the women are wearing coats and dresses and Mrs. Forbes and Mrs. Middleton are wearing eyeglasses. These women election officials at the fire hall box volunteered to darn the firemen at Station 18's socks for them after a City Council election.
