Description
During Army Day at Camp Wolters, selectees from Ohio, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania are attempting their first bayonet drill. The training is being executed under the command of Lieutenant Bob Orr with Sergeant John Sampish and Corporal William Schroeder as instructors. The trainees in the Company D, 59th Training Battalion are shown executing the "on guard" command. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, April 8, 1941.
