Description
Here are some of the prize winning costumes which were typical of the spirit of the Advertising Club "Whingding" at Pioneer Palace. The honors for best couple costumes went to Mr. and Mrs Jim Edwards, while individual costumes honors went to Mrs. Homer Belew, Number 1 woman's costume, and Max Shippee, Number 1 man's attire. The dress ball was the first of its kind. Club members plan an annual revival as a successor to the "bar nothing" gridiron dinners formerly held each year. In this picture, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Edwards are seen to be wearing a gown. Mrs. Edwards is holding a candle. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, March 31, 1941.
