Description
A crowd is gathering at Camp Wolters in Mineral Wells, Texas as the camp officially passes to the Army. Left to right are Allen Guinn, Brigadier General William Hood Simpson, and Mayor John C. Miller. Mr. Guinn is the president of the Mineral Wells Chamber of Commerce. He is dressed in a hat and three piece pinstripe suit. General Simpson is the new commanding officer of the camp. Mineral Wells Mayor Miller is dressed in a cowboy hat and a double breasted suit. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, morning edition, March 23, 1941.
