Description
Admiral James O. Richardson was born in Paris, Texas in 1878 to Professor and Mrs. J. J. Richardson. Admiral Richardson graduated fifth in his class of 59 in 1902. Since he has held many important posts in the United States naval service and at 61, he is the commander-in-chief of the United State Fleet, the Navy's top Academy, young Richardson returned to his Paris home to marry Miss May Fenet. They have one son. This is a copy of Admiral Richardson shown in a tintype picture taken when he was a year and a half. He is sitting on a wicker box, wearing a long shirt. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, February 18, 1940.
