Description

Councilman R. H. W. Drechsel, to be Captain in medical services at Fort Sam Houston, being presented with luggage by Fort Worth, Texas mayor I. N. McCrary. Captain Drechsel will be a dental instructor in the medical specialists' school. Captain Drechsel is wearing a military uniform while the mayor is wearing a suit, very short tie and pocket square. Two pieces of luggage sit on a table in front of the men, both of whom are smoking cigars while shaking hands. This photograph appeared in the March 19, 1941 edition of the Star-Telegram.
