Elmore Bird shown with his prize winning chickens at the Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show. The fowls took the 1941 award as grand champion pen at the poultry section of the exposition, which attracted large crowds over the weekend. The champions are Dark Cornish chickens, shown with their exhibitor, Elmore Bird, 1102 Northwest Fifteenth Street, standing by their pen.
