Description
Camp Bowie soldiers visited Fort Worth, Texas, on March 1, 1941. Private John George Hampton, center, was greeted by his family and girlfriend upon his arrival at the Santa Fe Railroad Station. Standing left to right are Mrs. L. Flinn, Mrs. K. Hampton (Private Hampton's mother), Private Hampton, Miss Louise Flinn, nurse at Harris Memorial Hospital, and K. Hampton (Private Hampton's father). Mrs. Flinn, Mrs. Hampton and Miss Flinn are wearing dresses and coats. Mrs. Hampton and Miss Flinn are carrying handbags. Private Hampton is wearing his military uniform and eyeglasses. Mr. Hampton is wearing a pinstripe suit and a hat.
