Description
Image shows a shot of the driverless, runaway truck that caused the collision on Highway 81 which killed Henry T. Ballard. Henry T. Ballard was driving south, immediately behind the truck and trailer of Joe Baggs. A truck, being towed north by a Fort Worth Rendering Company truck, broke loose and veered across the highway, first colliding with Baggs' machine and then with Ballard's car. Baggs was uninjured. The driver of the rendering company truck was Sherman Beasley. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition February 10, 1941.
