    Description

    Clarence Stephenson, twenty-seven, was fatally shot Wednesday night after and argument with his landlord, J. E. Mitchell. Clarence and his brother Cecil, resided in the house for four months before moving on Wednesday morning. Mr. Mitchell, sixty-three, leased the space to the brothers and said they owed him back rent. When the brothers came to collect their belongings, Mr. Mitchell said they couldn't take anything until the rent was current. The argument escalated and Mr. Mitchell admitted to a reporter that he shot Clarence. Mr. Mitchell has been a resident of Fort Worth, Texas since 1913 and is currently employed in construction. He is shown being brought in. He is carrying his hat, wearing a button-up shirt, coat, and trousers.
