Description

A group is visiting Fort Worth, Texas from Port Dover, Ontario, Canada. The are left to right W. Kent Mitchell, Mrs. W. Kent Mitchell, and Don Ivey. The Mitchells are in town visiting their parents while Mr. Mitchell is on furlough. Mr. Mitchell is a flying officer with the Royal Canadian Air Force and a former Fort Worth "barnstormer". He joined the Canadian flying service in September 1940. He is standing in an at ease position, dressed in his military uniform. Mrs. Mitchell is wearing a button-up blouse and a skirt. Mr. Ivey is dressed in a double breasted suit. Two sconces frame either side of the fireplace. A clock, reading twenty-past-five, is positioned in the middle of the mantle.
