Description

The Hardin Simmons University Cowboy Band is heading to the National Capital - Washington D. C. The band is waving their cowboy hats from the steps of the Sunshine Special. They are left to right on the front row E. G. Parkhill Junior, Miss Marijohn Melson, Jack Nichols,. Above the trio on the first step is Hal Pender. On the middle step are young Diana Sandefer and Jake Miller. Pete Tippen is at the top. Mr. Parkhill is wearing a plaid shirt, scarf, jacket, and jeans. Miss Melson is dressed in a button-up blouse and trousers. Mr. Nichols is wearing a button-up shirt, jacket, and jeans. Mr. Pender is dressing in a collared shirt, sweater, and a coat. Diana is the young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gib Sandefer and the mascot of the band. She is wearing a knit cap, overalls, and a coat. Mr. Miller is dressed in a button-up shirt, jacket, and jeans. Mr. Tippen is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, and a sweater.
