Description
$105 4-H Yearlings From Jack County -- Fancy yearlings from Jack County sold on the Fort Worth market Thursday for $105 each to set a four-year. County Agent Paul B. Jones is proud as these young beeves were fed by his 4-H Club members. This pen of eight yearlings weighed 840 pounds and sold for $12.50 per hundred -- the highest price since 1937 on an open market transaction here. A. L. Smith, beef cattle specialist from College Station, is well pleased with the youngsters' work. The fancy yearlings, Mr. Jones and Mr. Smith are shown here. Posing with the cattle from left to right are, Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones. Both wearing cowboy hats, and are dressed well. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, January 17, 1941.
